Intro into film & editing

with Theresa Sherron

This course is...

...perfect for photographers who want to dip their toes into short films for their clients! To really know the BASICS before getting more into the other side of premiere pro and color grading, etc. A lot goes into making videos and it will take some practice and getting used to the systems you start using! This is why I created this Intro to Film course for you to really learn the basics before the hard work comes in! This is like learning Lightroom or Photoshop for the first time BUT this is why I am here to help YOU understand it better and not alone! I promise, once you start working with it, it will become second nature to you. As someone who has been doing short films for almost over a year, I have learned a lot from when I first started and now that I am in college for Film, I have even learned MORE and cannot wait to share a little bit of knowledge for you guys to start up!

You will be learning :

  • Basics of premiere pro

  • Basics of iMovie (So you can decide which one is best for you)

  • What gear I use

  • How to quickly shoot photo & video during your session

  • As I hold you hand and walk you through this!

Meet Your

Instructor

Known as the loudest human in the room, this is how Theresa brings chaos into her family sessions which creates her interesting way of how she runs a family session, or yet any session. The wild and free, the better. The chaos, the better. Theresa is constantly listening and signing to music, which she does in front of her clients as well.

Theresa is in college at UAF (University of Fairbanks Alaska) Studying Film with a minor in Theatre. She works hands on with equipment at school and in her own work outside of school. Theresa has been doing videography for a little over a year now & has learned a lot about video editing over that time frame! Theresa wants to expand into the Movie & TV industry after college is done and work on sets either as a director, filmer or editor. Theresa has a huge passion for videography and always has.

Little do people know but back in 2012 when Theresa first started college, her major was Mass Media and did tons of premiere pro courses and editing. She was also a news reporter for the schools news station. Her passion for this has always been there but moving around and having kids put a hold on her degree. Now shes back, finishing her degree and wanting to share what she has learned over the years with her fellow photogs. Theresa says, you must have a passion and the will to want to do videography. It’s a whole different vibe and mood than photography. It’s a learning curve but if you have the love for it, anything is possible.

What are Student's Saying?

"I was VERY hesitant on purchasing this course 🥴I had taken and still taking a course on short family films. So I thought what more could Theresa teach me that I don’t already know. I’m sure I know all the basics already - WROOONNGGG!!! Theresa goes into detail over ALL of the basics, including gear and programs to use (with pricing!). She even shares shortcuts in premier pro that I had no clue about!! If you have even some experience with videography Theresa’s Intro course is still packed with good info!! Don’t be hesitant like I was"

Kashia Courville / BEC Student

"I took the plunge and purchased Theresa's course in the hopes that I could learn the basics and start to dabble in Short Films for my families. I was hesitant about spending the money at first, I watched the previews and was hoping that I wasn't about to waste my time and money... Absolutely not waste at all!! Theresa dives into the gear required, programs needed, short cuts and so much more. I am so happy I made the purchase & cannot wait to purchase the extended version. Thank you!"
