Meet Danielle Napert of Dani Napert Photography our Artist of the Month!
Hey Y'all! Im Dani, owner and photographer of Dani Napert Photography. I was born in New York but grew up in the good ol' sunshine state! I’m a FL girl at heart but also have a passion for traveling and being out there in nature. I first started in photography like many, because of my daughter Kennedy. I wanted to capture those moments we often forget. The way her hair curled, those tiny fingers, true laughter, and those priceless moments in between. My goal is to do the same when telling your story. I want my images to bring you back to that very moment and what you were feeling at that time. So, bring me YOU, the real YOU and lets create some memories together.
"A life well lived should be an adventure and I want to be there to document yours."
Q: How did you get to this point in photography? Is this something you always wanted to do?
A: I officially started my photography business a little over a year ago. It has been one amazing ride and I started like many, because of my daughter. I found myself always wanting to capture those tiny details we often forget. The little fingers, the way her hair curled, and those laughing moments in between. It has been such an amazing ride and my business has grown in such a short amount of time. Many don't know but I do almost all of my shoots over the weekend because Monday-Friday I am a neurophysiologist. I know your head is probably spinning, but I basically monitor the nervous systems during surgery.
Q: If you could only use one lens for the rest of your life, what would it be? Why?
A: This one is easy. I would use my sigma 35 and totally be OK with it. I recently just got a 24 which is a close second but I'm such a wide angle girl! I love being up close and personal with my clients and love the images I get from my 35.
Q: What is your dream session? Describe it.
A: A dream session for me would be a couples session somewhere in the mountains. Living in FL, I get so jealous when I see sessions posted with these gorgeous mountains. There's nothing I love more than hiking a mountain and being out there in nature. Add a couple into the mix and yup, that would be my dream session!
Q: What inspires you as an artist?
A: This photography community inspires me every day. There are so many crazy talented photographers out there and seeing their work pushes me to take chances and to just get out there and do my thing.
Q: What are your goals for 2019?
A: My goals for 2019 include a new logo, to further grow my business, and to attend a workshop!
Q: What are your biggest fears?
A: My biggest fears are failure and rejection.
Q: What is your BEST advice? A: My best advice would be to understand light. Photograph in different lighting situations so you understand because lighting has placed such an important factor in my work.
Q: What do you love most about photography?
A: CONNECTIONS! I live for them and love watching them unfold in front of my lens. Connections tell a story and each family has their own to tell which is what makes it so special. Hearing the laughs, feeling the love, and capturing the emotions of a family is really what it is all about for me.
